iRobot suggests cleaning the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it may encounter. You should also keep the dustbin and filters free of dirt to prevent them from becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or its battery is low, it returns to its docking station, automatically empties its dirt into the station's dust bin and then resumes cleaning the area where it started. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for about an hour and a half continuous use, and it takes around three hours to fully recharge.

The Roomba i7+ can remember up to 10 floor plans and their names thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that allows it to map rooms so it can clean them more efficiently. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and direct your robot by voice or via the app.

The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from all surfaces, including carpeting. The biggest benefit over the eufy it self-empties its dust bin which removes a major source of maintenance and lowers recurring costs.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the best budget robot vacuum to begin, stop or pause its cleaning routines, move itself around the room and sweep the area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. When connected to these services, we were able communicate with the i7+ using voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and monitoring performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

The app makes it possible to steer the robot manually when needed. For example my living room rug has a darkly-colored border that tends to cause confusion for other robots I've tested.
